How to Log In and Connect Xero to Batchly

How to Log In and Connect Xero to Batchly

Batchly connects directly with your Xero organisation so you can sync approved bills, generate banking files, and manage high-volume supplier payments. This guide explains how to log in and connect Xero to Batchly for the first time.

Step 1: Go to Batchly

Visit https://app.batchly.io to log in to Batchly and connect your Xero account.

Action: Click Continue with Xero to get started.

Step 2: Sign in with Xero

You'll be redirected to Xero to sign in using your existing Xero account.

This is the same secure sign-in process used by other Xero apps.

Step 3: Connect Your Xero Organisation

After signing in, Xero will ask you to choose which organisation you want to connect to Batchly.

Select the organisation you use for bill payments.

What Permissions Does Batchly Request?

Batchly requests access so it can:

1. Read bills and suppliers
So your approved bills can sync from Xero into Batchly.
2. Create payments in Xero
So payment records can be created in Xero for the bills you pay.
3. Mark bills as paid
So Xero stays up to date once payment has been completed via your bank.
Important to know:
✓ Batchly does not move money
✓ Batchly does not access or store your bank login
✓ Payments are authorised and processed through your own bank

What Happens After You Connect?

Once your organisation is connected:

  • Your approved bills will sync into Batchly
  • You’ll land on the Bills screen to filter and create payment runs
  • No additional setup is required

Once connected, you can generate your first banking payment file. See our guide on how to generate and export an ABA file in Batchly .

Having Trouble?

If you don't see bills straight away, go to the Bills screen and click Sync.

If you're still stuck, contact support and we'll help you through it.
